Kim Stare Wallace of Dry Creek Vineyard: Family Legacy, Sonoma History & Distinctive Wines

On this week’s Vine, Wine & Dine, live from The Matheson in Healdsburg, we welcome Kim Stare Wallace, president and second-generation owner of Dry Creek Vineyard. Founded by her father, David S. Stare, in 1972, the winery helped shape the modern wine story of Dry Creek Valley and remains family-owned, with a commitment to sustainability and wines that reflect their place. Kim shares the family’s history, her father’s pioneering vision for varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, and how the winery continues to honor its roots while looking toward the future. We’ll taste the 2025 Dry Creek Chenin Blanc, 2025 Sauvignon Blanc, 2023 Heritage Vines Zinfandel, and 2022 The Mariner, paired with dishes from Chef Dustin Valette’s kitchen, including Liberty Farms Duck Leg Confit, Roasted Chili-Lime Shrimp, Spicy Pork Belly Hoisin Pizza, and Spiced Delicata Squash.
